Mitt Romney says he is not competing in any straw polls this year and yet he easily won the Michigan Straw Poll by getting 51% of the vote. Rick Perry finished a very distant 2nd with 18%. Florida Straw Poll Results.

Herman Cain wins Florida Straw Poll which frankly I do not think means much at all as it is who is willing to spend the most money to buy votes and I agree with Mitt Romney in skipping straw polls. Mitt finished a strong third and did not spend a dime at this pay to play event. Cain got 37% of vote, Perry 15% must be very disappointing to him as he spent a lot of time and money on this and Mitt Romney 14% without spending a dime. Rick Santorum and Ron Paul both had 10% with Santorum finishing ahead of Paul in actual vote count. This must have been especially disappointing for Ron Paul who many expected to do much better. Ron Paul and his supporters spent a lot of money and put a lot of effort into this. Michele Bachmann finished dead last at 2% so this must be very disappointing for her Here are the actual totals.

Mitt Romney Showed Tremendous and Inspirational Leadership from Early Youth.

While Rick Perry pretty much squandered his youth attending college at Texas A@M. being a party animal and graduating with a 1.9 GPA. Mitt Romney was being shaped and molded through very chaotic events that were way beyond his control yet through this tremendous crises Mitt showed amazing and inspirational leadership almost beyond belief. This is so inspirational that the lamestream media and the Obama administration would not want you to read this story.

Mitt Romney is who this country needs.

Mitt Romney has by far the most experience and best resume to be our next President. He is simply the best candidate in the race. His vast business experience of turning around companies that were on the brink of collapse and bankruptcy are exactly what America needs to solve our problems.

Why do I think Mitt Romney would be the best candidate for President to run against Obama in 2012? First he is leading in all of the polls and is the only one that the polls are showing can actually defeat Obama. I also think he would absolutely clean Obama's clock in all the debates they would have. Gov. Romney is a Washington outsider and that is why he got skewered by the lamestream media when he ran for president in 2008 and they have fueled the anyone but Mitt noise going on this year. Mitt Romney is actually very conservative no less than Ronald Reagan, he graduated from BYU one of if not the most conservative Universities in the United States, and is one of the most if not the most competent leaders in the United States. By the way unlike Rick Perry who had a 1.9 gpa in college Mitt graduated #1 in his class at BYU and at the very top of his classes at Harvard Law School and Harvard business school.

While Rick Perry is taking credit for creating lots of jobs in Texas actually what was going on is he had a very conservative legislature keeping him in check. For that he was at best a good driver of the Texas economic engine. The truth is that Texas's economy with all of the oil and other industries there has never needed an overhaul. Mitt Romney is not only a great driver but also a master mechanic of the economic engine. He understand all of the more complicated details of how economies work and since our country's economy is broken he is exactly what we need. We do not need another career politician like Rick Perry experimenting and running it further into the ground.

For the mess that Obama has made out of our country Mitt Romney would be by far the best person on Earth that I know of who could do the most to fix the problems of our country if that is even possible Mitt would do it as that is what he does and always has been about is fixing problems.

Some of the things Mitt has proven beyond amazing to accomplish, like taking command of the Salt Lake Winter Olympics that were headed for disaster for a one (1) dollar salary and turning them around to becoming the most successful Winter Olympics in history. Romney literally saved those 2002 Olympics from economic doom and under his tremendous leadership turned it from deep in the red into the black. When he took over at the helm the Salt Lake Olympics were already 400 million in debt, he completely took charge and in the end they were some of the most successful and profitable Olympics in history and handed the City of Salt Lake a 100,000,000 profit.

What about RomneyCare? RomneyCare, signed into law by Romney in 2006, is a state-based healthcare plan , unlike ObamaCare, RomneyCare did not raise taxes and the people overwhelmingly wanted it. If the Democratic run state would have left it the way Romney had it there would not be all the problems that have happened with it. But the bigger and more important difference is that RomneyCare was a state program and not a federal one. If states’ rights and federalism are truly important to you, you would readily recognize this distinction. And on top of all this, Romney has consistently voiced his support for the repeal of ObamaCare, this the same Romney that saved Mass. from demise caused by the Democrats? Not once but twice? The ones that fattened up said health care bill.

Romney saved dozens of companies from closing down & created and saved tens of thousands of jobs? As a highly successful leader in business, he made money by turning around financially struggling companies like Monsanto, Staples, Office Depot, Dominos Pizza, Burlington, Corning, among many others, saving thousands of jobs.

Later he ran a venture capital firm which provided money to numerous startup companies such as Staples Office Supplies, enabling them to expand and create thousands of more jobs. During the 14 years he headed the company, Bain Capital’s average Annual rate of return on investments was 113 percent. One time one of his employees’ daughter came up missing in New York City and was feared kidnapped. Mitt said to his partners the reason we are in business is for the welfare of our families and shut down the company and organized a search party and they headed for New York. He diligently and quickly divided up the search party and sent them out searching sector by sector with detailed instructions as to how to proceed and the daughter was found. If I recall correctly she was just being a rebellious teenager and had went off and was hanging out with some friends having a good time not realizing what panic and grief she was causing her parents.

On a personal level Mitt and all 5 of his sons are Eagle scouts the highest title a scout can receive and less than 2% ever reach that level. Mitt also went on a 2 1/2 year mission for his church and rose to the level of assistant to the president the highest calling a missionary can receive. Soon after his mission he married his wife Ann and transferred to BYU where she was attending. He ended up graduating #1 in his class and went on to Harvard Business School where he graduated in the top 5% of his class and cum laude from Harvard Law School. He became a father of 5 boys during his college and early business years.

As the 70th Governor of MA, he worked to turn around the state’s economy from a 3 billion dollar deficit to a surplus, balancing their budget in less than 4 yrs. And never accepted a salary while in office, well legally he had to take $1.00 a year for a grand total of $4.00 for his entire political career.

What is wrong with America not wanting the best possible leader we have available? It’s the economy, stupid! Mitt Romney is one of the greatest leaders this country has. He has spent his entire life finding solutions to the most challenging and biggest problems. After the tremendous damage that Obama has done to our nation and with our nation's economy on the brink of collapse no other candidate will do or is up to the challenge of turning our economy around. Mitt Romney can and will do exactly that.

A Lesson in History, Principles and the Differences between Romney and Obama

Critics have characterized Romney's health care plan as an affront to liberty. However, new-age version of liberty espoused by Romney’s critics contradicts the concept of liberty as practiced by the founding fathers. Romney's plan adheres to the principles of liberty upon which our nation was founded.

John Hancock, the first and boldest signer of the Declaration of Independence, was elected the first governor of Massachusetts, with over 90% of the vote (1). As governor, Hancock more than once mandated that all men, with few exceptions such as those over the age of 45 (the average life expectancy was less than 50 years), be counted as comprising a "militia" and furnish themselves with a number of goods at their own expense, mandates remaining in effect both in times of peace and war. Ultimately, Hancock signed into law on June 22, 1793 an act repealing and combining/revising his previous acts. This act of 1793 read in part:

"...each and every free, able bodied white male citizen of this or any other of the United States residing within this Commonwealth who is, or shall be of the age of eighteen years & under the age of forty five years (except as is herein after excepted) shall severally and respectively be subject to the requisitions of this act, and shall be enrolled in the militia ... every Non- Commissioned Officer & private of the Infantry shall constantly keep himself provided with a good Musquet, with an iron or steel rod; a sufficient bayonet & belt,—two spare flints, a priming wire & brush & a knapsack;— a cartridge box or pouch with a box therein to contain not less than twenty four cartridges suited to the bore of his Musquet ; — each cartridge to contain a proper quantity of powder & ball, or with a good rifle, knapsack, shott-pouch, powder horn, twenty balls suited to the bore of his rifle, & a quarter of a pound of Powder ... every non-commissioned Officer or private of the Infantry who shall neglect to keep himself armed and equipped as aforesaid, or who shall on a Muster day, or at any other time of examination, be destitute of, or appear unprovided with, the Arms and Equipments herein directed (except as before excepted) shall pay a fine not exceeding twenty shillings in proportion to the Articles of which he shall be deficient, at the discretion of the Justice of the Peace before whom trial shall be had(2).

John Hancock's first militia act, signed during a time of war, March 3, 1781, contained similar mandates:

"That that Part of the Militia of this Commonwealth commonly called the Training-Band, shall be constituted of all the able bodied Male Persons therein, from Sixteen years old to Fifty ... each and every Officer and private Soldier of said Militia, not under the Control of Parents, Masters or Guardians, and being of sufficient Ability therefor, in the Judgment of the Selectmen of the Town wherein he has his usual Place of Abode, shall equip himself, and be constantly provided with a good Fire-Arm, with a Steel or Iron Ramrod, and a Spring to retain the same, a Worm, Priming-Wire and Brush, and a Bayonet fitted to his Gun, a Scabbard and Belt here for, a Cartridge-Box that will hold Fifteen Rounds of Cartridges at least. Six Flints, one Pound of Powder, Forty Leaden Balls fitted to his Gun, a Haversack and Blanket, a Canteen sufficient to hold one Quart. And if any Officer or private Soldier shall neglect to arm and equip himself as aforesaid, for the Space of Sixty Days after Publication of this Act, he shall forfeit and pay a Fine of Five Pounds; to be recovered by Action of Debt in any Court proper to try the same, by the Clerk of the Company to which the Delinquent belongs...."(3)

Each of these acts also afforded for the truly indigent to receive some measure of aid in acquiring the mandated goods, but those who could afford to furnish themselves with the goods and failed to do so were fined.

We might compare Hancock’s Massachusetts mandates with militia mandates enacted at the federal level under President George Washington(4), as the federal government exercised its new militia authority granted by the U.S. constitution (article 1, Sec. 8, clause 15-16).These federal mandates were an exception to federal power. Because, generally speaking, the federal government has no constitutional authority to require citizens to purchase goods or services. The constitutional authority to impose federal mandates while regulating militia is one of few exceptions provided in the constitution. The constitution does not similarly limit states but leaves them free to impose a variety of mandates.

In addition to regulating militia, the U.S. constitution grants the federal government authority to regulate certain types of commerce (article 1, Sec. 8, clause 3). As it had done with their militia authority, the federal government under the founding fathers used its new commerce authority to federally mandate within that narrow scope that citizens purchase goods and/or services.

The commerce clause enabled the federal government to act in some respects like a state on questions relating to navigable waters which states have no jurisdiction over. And when given that chance to act like a state, the founders used that "state-like" power to create a health care mandate. Thus, the early federal government set a form of precedent, or special legitimacy, for states to enact health care mandates.

In the federal act in question which regulates health care in the case of commerce, "An act for the government and regulation of seamen in the merchants' service" (July 20, 1790), the founders mandated that:

"every ship or vessel, belonging to a citizen or citizens of the United States, of the burthen of one hundred and fifty tons or upwards, navigated by ten or more persons in the whole, and bound on a voyage without the limits of the United States, shall be provided with a chest of medicines, put up by some apothecary of known reputation, and accompanied by directions for administering the same; and the said medicines shall be examined by the same or some other apothecary, once, at least, in every year, and supplied with fresh medicines in the place of such as shall have been used or spoiled; and in default of having such medicine chest so provided, and kept fit for use, the master or commander of such ship or vessel shall provide and pay for all such advice, medicine, or attendance of physicians, as any of the crew shall stand in need of in case of sickness, at every port or place where the ship or vessel may touch or trade at during the voyage, without any deduction from the wages of such sick seaman or mariner."

This mandate to purchase health care goods falls within that limited scope of the commerce clause, and as such only constitutes a precedent for future state action, not federal action (outside navigable waters).

On the commerce clause, James Madison implied such a narrow scope: "If the new Constitution be examined with accuracy, it will be found that the change which it proposes consists much less in the addition of NEW POWERS to the Union, than in the invigoration of its ORIGINAL POWERS. The regulation of commerce, it is true, is a new power; but that seems to be an addition which few oppose, and from which no apprehensions are entertained."(5)

Some might believe these mandates imposed by the founding fathers were an affront to liberty. The opposite is true. Liberty is not free. Individual liberty within a society comes from the strength of the society. The interests of that society, therefore, are a responsibility of each citizen. The question is whether the sacrifices required to secure liberty are to be primarily determined at a state level or a federal level. The U.S. constitution answers this question, in affirmative to the states, by limiting the powers of the federal government but not the powers of the states, and declaring itself thus as ordained to "secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity."

Like the founding fathers, Ronald Reagan supported the right of states to exercise wide discretion with respect to how they govern themselves. As Reagan explained, "The nature of our constitutional system encourages a healthy diversity in the public policies adopted by the people of the several States according to their own conditions, needs, and desires. In the search for enlightened public policy, individual States and communities are free to experiment with a variety of approaches to public issues." (October 26, 1987) (6).

200 years earlier, James Madison explained the same concept,”The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite.” (January 26, 1788) (5).200 years from now, our descendants will continue to reiterate this concept, if we continue to teach and preserve it and elect officials who understand the difference between state and federal mandates.

The founders enabled states to serve as "laboratories of democracy,"(7) where citizens are free to experiment and to decide in which states they reside and/or conduct their business. In this way, states compete with each other using principles of free market capitalism, and yet also are free to adopt the ideas that work in other states and learn from their errors, creating a win/win situation prompting each other to success. Federal government intervention disrupts the process, as it eliminates experimentation and trial and error, taking away from citizens the freedom to choose different approaches and to disagree with people in neighboring states.

States keep each other in check through competition, but the Federal government has no one to keep it in check except its own branches, which highlights the importance of electing people to office who understand and defend the constitution.

For this same reason, perhaps the single most destructive consequence of applying a mandate at the federal level is that it takes away our ability to measure the effectiveness of the mandate. To put this in terms of science, it removes the controls. For instance, if conditions worsen after a federal mandate goes into effect, the federal government can claim conditions would have been even worse without the mandate. The federal government gets away with this because there are no controls to prove otherwise. However, if conditions improve after a federal mandate goes into effect, the federal government attributes the improvement to the mandate. In contrast, when an individual state implements a mandate it can compare its progress with national trends across the other states. If conditions worsen, the state can ask how conditions have fared compared with other states. If conditions improve, the state can do the same thing.

In the case of Massachusetts health care, Romney's approach continues to be popular in the state, as it has always been, and has proven effective even with the costly provisions Romney vetoed which the legislature overrode, and even with the costly changes enacted after Romney left. We will explain this in greater detail in Part II of our analysis.

The founders understood the importance of states’ rights, but none understood that importance more than the famed champion of states’ rights, Samuel Adams, signer of the Declaration of Independence and successor to John Hancock as governor of Massachusetts.

As governor of Massachusetts, Samuel Adams put his understanding of states’ rights, a concept he personally help craft, to use. Adams signed into law what could be considered the first Massachusetts insurance mandate: a program requiring residents of each town in the state to create a pool of funds to be dispensed when any resident of the town falls into pauper status(8). Most residents had some risk of this happening to them if circumstances beyond their control, such as health, kept them from performing labors for an extended period of time. By contributing to Paupercare, residents helped insure their own future safety in case unfortunate circumstance should arise.

Moreover, the central proviso of Paupercare is a mandate for the kin of the pauper to lend them aid, followed by the larger community, as directed by community overseers:

"Be it further enacted, that said Overseers shall have the care and oversight of all such poor and indigent persons so settled in their respective Towns and Districts; and shall see that they are suitably relieved, supported and employed either in the workhouse, or other tenements belonging to such Towns or Districts or in such other way and manner, as they, at any legal meeting shall direct, or otherwise at the discretion of said Overseers, at the cost of such Town or District. Provided always and be it further enacted, that the kindred of any such poor person, if any he shall have, in the line or degree, of Father or Grandfather, Mother or Grandmother, Children or Grand children, by consanguinity living within this Commonwealth, of sufficient ability, shall be holden to support such Pauper, in proportion to such ability.... And be it further Enacted, that said Overseers shall also relieve and support, and in case of their decease, decently bury all poor persons residing or found in their towns or districts, having no lawful settlements within this Commonwealth, when they stand in need; and may employ them as other paupers may be; the expense whereof may be recovered of their relations, if they have any, chargeable by law for their support, in manner herein before pointed out ... And every town and district shall be holden to pay any expense which shall be necessarily incurred for the relief of any pauper, by any inhabitant not liable by law for his or her support ... if any person shall bring and leave any poor & indigent person in any town or district in this Commonwealth, wherein such pauper is not lawfully settled, knowing him to be poor & indigent, he shall forfeit and pay the sum of twenty pounds, for every such offense ... And be it further Enacted, that it shall also be the duty of said Overseers, in their respective towns or districts, to provide for the immediate comfort and relief of all persons residing, or found therein, not belonging thereto, but having lawful settlements in other towns or districts, when they fall into distress, and stand in need of immediate relief, & until they shall be removed to the places of their lawful settlements..."

Each town was given wide discretion in deciding how to raise the necessary pool of funds, determined by a vote of the town people. They were also to, "at their annual meetings," choose the overseers. Additionally, the act authorized the court of common pleas of each county to hear complaints filed by towns and/or kindred who were struggling with their ability to carry out the mandate, and to provide relief on a per-case basis in the form of weekly sums "as they shall judge sufficient for the support of such Pauper."

By the standard of some self-proclaimed patriots, with limited knowledge of U.S. history, Paupercare infringed on the liberty of residents who were mandated to pay premiums as decided by each town, and particularly unfair to the kin who were mandated to provide personal aid to paupers. However, the Massachusetts constitution, Part 1, Article 10, as penned by John Adams, tells a different story:

"Each individual of the society HAS A RIGHT TO BE PROTECTED by it in the enjoyment of his life, liberty and property, according to standing laws. HE IS OBLIGED, CONSEQUENTLY, TO CONTRIBUTE HIS SHARE TO THE EXPENSE OF THIS PROTECTION; TO GIVE HIS PERSONAL SERVICE, OR AN EQUIVALENT, WHEN NECESSARY; but no part of the property of any individual, can, with justice, be taken from him or applied to the public uses without his own consent, OR THAT OF THE REPRESENTATIVE BODY OF THE PEOPLE. In fine, the people of this Commonwealth are not controllable by any other laws, than those to which their constitutional representative body have given their consent..." (CONSTITUTION OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS, Part 1, Article 10, emphasis added)

It is the right, therefore, of every individual residing in Massachusetts to be protected by it in whatsoever fashion as is decided by the people through their representative body. This included “Paupercare,” and likewise includes "Romneycare."

Those who are not willing to abide the precepts of the Massachusetts constitution are free to reside in a different state. They are not free however to abdicate personal responsibility for knowing the constitutional expectations associated with their choice to reside in the state of Massachusetts.

Neither “Paupercare” nor “Romneycare” is a hand-out or a bail-out, but a plan to restore residents to full working order where they can once again contribute their own share as productive members of society. Thus aiding a strong society and helping preserve liberty.

Some have questioned why Mitt Romney, when faced with the Massachusetts health care crisis, implemented mandates. What they do not realize is that the choice Romney faced was between mandates and bailouts. Put another way, the choice was between personal accountability and hand-outs. Massachusetts had the highest health care costs in the nation, and Romney had to act. After consulting with the Heritage Foundation and other conservative groups, and in concert with the legislature, which overwhelmingly agreed with Governor Romney, and also with the people, who also overwhelmingly agreed, Romney called upon all residents to "contribute their share" to the solution - as residents are obliged under the constitution to do. Together, they ended the medical bailouts which had caused so much chaos.

Romney understood that in the liberal state of Massachusetts the legislature he had to work with might add provisions he objected to - and they did. He also understood that future elected officials might add risky features to the plan - and they have. But he understood that as long as the federal government stayed out of the matter, aside from continuing to provide standard (non-“stimulus”) aid to each state (which Massachusetts incorporates into its health care plan, and other states continue to use for hospital bailouts), Massachusetts state law would be kept in check by the capitalist forces imposed by other states, thereby narrowing unwise expansion and forcing a pruning of provisions which fail. However, the enemy of states' rights, federal intervention, threatens setbacks.

Obama's unsustainable policies have used borrowed money to bail out states even though they continue failed policies, thereby artificially suspending capitalist forces between states. Massachusetts liberals have changed Romney's health care plan, and although the plan has still been effective, only time will tell if their changes will be sustainable. Possibly the worst thing that could happen is for the federal government to continue bailing out states instead of allowing capitalist pressure to force states to restructure their policies. In the case of Massachusetts, this would mean a return to Romney's original health care plan, ideally including a repeal of the provisions which Romney vetoed but which the legislature overrode. Romney structured his original plan to ensure no increased costs to the state. Romney reorganized and streamlined the state medical budget to work

Mitt Romney And Federal vs State Mandates.

Mitt Romney is kind to those of you in the peanut gallery. He's running for President and has to remain civil. Fortunately, I can be more blunt. The truth is, the ignorance of some of you otherwise intelligent talking heads is making the health care criticism stick for no valid conservative reason.

Those who accuse Romney of hypocrisy for opposing federal mandates seem to selectively understand the difference between local and federal mandates. When it comes to the most local unit of society, the family, you want the freedom to set mandates for your children respecting how they spend money, when to go to bed, what they eat, what they wear, what type of job they can have, where they live, who they may associate with, etc - but you don't want the federal government coming in and imposing those EXACT same mandates. But that is the same supposed double standard you accuse Romney of. You are a hypocrite for criticizing Romney.

Government starts at the local level - the home. Society recognizes families as authoritative governing bodies with legitimate discretion for setting mandates. This is the recognized natural order of society under attack by progressives. Government extends outward from the home to the state and then the federal government. The more localized a government is, the more its proper role relates to determining how people can run their lives. If parents want their school board to mandate that apples be provided invending machines, by your standard that would make them hypocrites for not wanting the federal government to impose the SAME mandate on all schools in the nation.

Samuel Adams understood states' rights better than anyone. He crafted the concept in the first place.And he, like Mitt Romney, was governor of Massachusetts. As governor, Samuel Adams mandated that family members of paupers use their own resources to care for the paupers, and that towns must pool together resources to be dispensed for that purpose when necessary.

Adams, like Romney, would NEVER have wanted the federal government to mandate such a thing. DId that make him a hypocrite? He did it at a state level because he understood that residents of MA were falling into pauper status - mainly because of health problems and other events which prevented them from performing labors for a period of time. It was in the interest of the state to aid them in recovering so they could once again become productive members of society. Twitter is an Excellent Way to Support Mitt Romney

If you are a Mitt Romney supporter and like me feel he is our best hope and chance to beat Obama in 2012 here is a great way to build an influence and unite with other Mitt Romney supporters and build a network of people to turn them into Mitt Romney Supporters.

If you do not have a Twitter account please go to twitter and sign up. It is a very easy process. Then after you sign up click on who to follow and type in Mitt Romney and then you can go and begin following each of following to get started. Next you will want to build your network and get as many people as you can following you. The best way to get started is begin selectively following people on these lists. As you go through the list what your goal should be is to only follow those on the list who will follow you. So click on each of their profile and the key to knowing if they are going to follow you is: If they are following many more as are following them than the chances are really good they will follow you when you begin following them. If the amount that they follow is even or fairly close to even of followers to who they follow then these are your very best to follow as they are the ones the most likely to follow you.

Do not follow anyone who has many more followers than they have people who they follow as these are people who want followers but do not return the favor. The exception of course is the Mitt Romney sites I have listed many of them will have many more people following them but these are here to help you get started and then once you have begin following all of the people on this list. You can begin to go to each individual one and begin following their choicest followers.

The whole purpose of building a large follower base is each person who follows you will receive your messages called tweets. So if you see an online poll you could notify your followers where it is at and that will get more votes for Mitt Romney in the poll. Another example would be if you see a very positive article about Mitt Romney you could also post the link to it so that others can read it and share it with their followers. You can really carry a lot of influence and can easily build a following of 25 to 50 people a day and to do that all you have to do is selectively follow double the number of people of what your goal is. For example if your goal is 10 new followers a day using the above criteria start following 20. As you begin doing tweets and begin following people you will begin to get a lot of people to follow you and be sure to return the favor because the more

that you follow the better chance the more followers you will gain. Be sure to fill out your Bio also as people are like 8 times more likely to follow someone who has done that. But President Obama said before that it was not necessary to kill Bin Laden because he was rendered totally ineffective and hiding out in caves. Mitt Romney Leads latest Fox Poll.

A Fox phone poll that was conducted from April 25 to 27, 2011 Shows the results of who the the voter would support for President. They called each state according to the percentage of voters there are in that State compared to the nation and the results are based on 322 Republicans.

"It is an honor to be here today. This is an inspiring place because of you and the First Lady and because of the film exhibited across the way in the Presidential library. For those who have not seen it, it shows the President as a young pilot, shot down during the Second World War, being rescued from his life-raft by the crew of an American submarine. It is a moving reminder that when America has faced challenge and peril, Americans rise to the occasion, willing to risk their very lives to defend freedom and preserve our nation. We are in your debt. Thank you, Mr. President.

"Mr. President, your generation rose to the occasion, first to defeat Fascism and then to vanquish the Soviet Union. You left us, your children, a free and strong America. It is why we call yours the greatest generation. It is now my generation's turn. How we respond to today's challenges will define our generation. And it will determine what kind of America we will leave our children, and theirs.

"America faces a new generation of challenges. Radical violent Islam seeks to destroy us. An emerging China endeavors to surpass our economic leadership. And we are troubled at home by government overspending, overuse of foreign oil, and the breakdown of the family.

"Over the last year, we have embarked on a national debate on how best to preserve American leadership. Today, I wish to address a topic which I believe is fundamental to America's greatness: our religious liberty. I will also offer perspectives on how my own faith would inform my Presidency, if I were elected.

"There are some who may feel that religion is not a matter to be seriously considered in the context of the weighty threats that face us. If so, they are at odds with the nation's founders, for they, when our nation faced its greatest peril, sought the blessings of the Creator. And further, they discovered the essential connection between the survival of a free land and the protection of religious freedom. In John Adams' words: 'We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion... Our Constitution was made for a moral and religious people.'

"Freedom requires religion just as religion requires freedom. Freedom opens the windows of the soul so that man can discover his most profound beliefs and commune with God. Freedom and religion endure together, or perish alone.

"Given our grand tradition of religious tolerance and liberty, some wonder whether there are any questions regarding an aspiring candidate's religion that are appropriate. I believe there are. And I will answer them today.

"Almost 50 years ago another candidate from Massachusetts explained that he was an American running for President, not a Catholic running for President. Like him, I am an American running for President. I do not define my candidacy by my religion. A person should not be elected because of his faith nor should he be rejected because of his faith.

"Let me assure you that no authorities of my church, or of any other church for that matter, will ever exert influence on presidential decisions. Their authority is theirs, within the province of church affairs, and it ends where the affairs of the nation begin.

"As Governor, I tried to do the right as best I knew it, serving the law and answering to the Constitution. I did not confuse the particular teachings of my church with the obligations of the office and of the Constitution – and of course, I would not do so as President. I will put no doctrine of any church above the plain duties of the office and the sovereign authority of the law.

"As a young man, Lincoln described what he called America's 'political religion' – the commitment to defend the rule of law and the Constitution. When I place my hand on the Bible and take the oath of office, that oath becomes my highest promise to God. If I am fortunate to become your President, I will serve no one religion, no one group, no one cause, and no one interest. A President must serve only the common cause of the people of the United States.

"There are some for whom these commitments are not enough. They would prefer it if I would simply distance myself from my religion, say that it is more a tradition than my personal conviction, or disavow one or another of its precepts. That I will not do. I believe in my Mormon faith and I endeavor to live by it. My faith is the faith of my fathers – I will be true to them and to my beliefs.

"Some believe that such a confession of my faith will sink my candidacy. If they are right, so be it. But I think they underestimate the American people. Americans do not respect believers of convenience. Americans tire of those who would jettison their beliefs, even to gain the world.

"There is one fundamental question about which I often am asked. What do I believe about Jesus Christ? I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of mankind. My church's beliefs about Christ may not all be the same as those of other faiths. Each religion has its own unique doctrines and history. These are not bases for criticism but rather a test of our tolerance. Religious tolerance would be a shallow principle indeed if it were reserved only for faiths with which we agree.

"There are some who would have a presidential candidate describe and explain his church's distinctive doctrines. To do so would enable the very religious test the founders prohibited in the Constitution. No candidate should become the spokesman for his faith. For if he becomes President he will need the prayers of the people of all faiths.

"I believe that every faith I have encountered draws its adherents closer to God. And in every faith I have come to know, there are features I wish were in my own: I love the profound ceremony of the Catholic Mass, the approachability of God in the prayers of the Evangelicals, the tenderness of spirit among the Pentecostals, the confident independence of the Lutherans, the ancient traditions of the Jews, unchanged through the ages, and the commitment to frequent prayer of the Muslims. As I travel across the country and see our towns and cities, I am always moved by the many houses of worship with their steeples, all pointing to heaven, reminding us of the source of life's blessings.

"It is important to recognize that while differences in theology exist between the churches in America, we share a common creed of moral convictions. And where the affairs of our nation are concerned, it's usually a sound rule to focus on the latter – on the great moral principles that urge us all on a common course. Whether it was the cause of abolition, or civil rights, or the right to life itself, no movement of conscience can succeed in America that cannot speak to the convictions of religious people.

"We separate church and state affairs in this country, and for good reason. No religion should dictate to the state nor should the state interfere with the free practice of religion. But in recent years, the notion of the separation of church and state has been taken by some well beyond its original meaning. They seek to remove from the public domain any acknowledgment of God. Religion is seen as merely a private affair with no place in public life. It is as if they are intent on establishing a new religion in America – the religion of secularism. They are wrong.

"The founders proscribed the establishment of a state religion, but they did not countenance the elimination of religion from the public square. We are a nation 'Under God' and in God, we do indeed trust.

"We should acknowledge the Creator as did the Founders – in ceremony and word. He should remain on our currency, in our pledge, in the teaching of our history, and during the holiday season, nativity scenes and menorahs should be welcome in our public places. Our greatness would not long endure without judges who respect the foundation of faith upon which our Constitution rests. I will take care to separate the affairs of government from any religion, but I will not separate us from 'the God who gave us liberty.'

"Nor would I separate us from our religious heritage. Perhaps the most important question to ask a person of faith who seeks a political office, is this: does he share these American values: the equality of human kind, the obligation to serve one another, and a steadfast commitment to liberty?

"They are not unique to any one denomination. They belong to the great moral inheritance we hold in common. They are the firm ground on which Americans of different faiths meet and stand as a nation, united.

"We believe that every single human being is a child of God – we are all part of the human family. The conviction of the inherent and inalienable worth of every life is still the most revolutionary political proposition ever advanced. John Adams put it that we are 'thrown into the world all equal and alike.'

"The consequence of our common humanity is our responsibility to one another, to our fellow Americans foremost, but also to every child of God. It is an obligation which is fulfilled by Americans every day, here and across the globe, without regard to creed or race or nationality.

"Americans acknowledge that liberty is a gift of God, not an indulgence of government. No people in the history of the world have sacrificed as much for liberty. The lives of hundreds of thousands of America's sons and daughters were laid down during the last century to preserve freedom, for us and for freedom loving people throughout the world. America took nothing from that Century's terrible wars – no land from Germany or Japan or Korea; no treasure; no oath of fealty. America's resolve in the defense of liberty has been tested time and again. It has not been found wanting, nor must it ever be. America must never falter in holding high the banner of freedom.

"These American values, this great moral heritage, is shared and lived in my religion as it is in yours. I was taught in my home to honor God and love my neighbor. I saw my father march with Martin Luther King. I saw my parents provide compassionate care to others, in personal ways to people nearby, and in just as consequential ways in leading national volunteer movements. I am moved by the Lord's words: 'For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: naked, and ye clothed me...'

"My faith is grounded on these truths. You can witness them in Ann and my marriage and in our family. We are a long way from perfect and we have surely stumbled along the way, but our aspirations, our values, are the self-same as those from the other faiths that stand upon this common foundation. And these convictions will indeed inform my presidency.

"Today's generations of Americans have always known religious liberty. Perhaps we forget the long and arduous path our nation's forbearers took to achieve it. They came here from England to seek freedom of religion. But upon finding it for themselves, they at first denied it to others. Because of their diverse beliefs, Ann Hutchinson was exiled from Massachusetts Bay, a banished Roger Williams founded Rhode Island, and two centuries later, Brigham Young set out for the West. Americans were unable to accommodate their commitment to their own faith with an appreciation for the convictions of others to different faiths. In this, they were very much like those of the European nations they had left.

"It was in Philadelphia that our founding fathers defined a revolutionary vision of liberty, grounded on self evident truths about the equality of all, and the inalienable rights with which each is endowed by his Creator.

"We cherish these sacred rights, and secure them in our Constitutional order. Foremost do we protect religious liberty, not as a matter of policy but as a matter of right. There will be no established church, and we are guaranteed the free exercise of our religion.

"I'm not sure that we fully appreciate the profound implications of our tradition of religious liberty. I have visited many of the magnificent cathedrals in Europe. They are so inspired ... so grand ... so empty. Raised up over generations, long ago, so many of the cathedrals now stand as the postcard backdrop to societies just too busy or too 'enlightened' to venture inside and kneel in prayer. The establishment of state religions in Europe did no favor to Europe's churches. And though you will find many people of strong faith there, the churches themselves seem to be withering away.

"Infinitely worse is the other extreme, the creed of conversion by conquest: violent Jihad, murder as martyrdom... killing Christians, Jews, and Muslims with equal indifference. These radical Islamists do their preaching not by reason or example, but in the coercion of minds and the shedding of blood. We face no greater danger today than theocratic tyranny, and the boundless suffering these states and groups could inflict if given the chance.

"The diversity of our cultural expression, and the vibrancy of our religious dialogue, has kept America in the forefront of civilized nations even as others regard religious freedom as something to be destroyed.

"In such a world, we can be deeply thankful that we live in a land where reason and religion are friends and allies in the cause of liberty, joined against the evils and dangers of the day. And you can be certain of this: Any believer in religious freedom, any person who has knelt in prayer to the Almighty, has a friend and ally in me. And so it is for hundreds of millions of our countrymen: we do not insist on a single strain of religion – rather, we welcome our nation's symphony of faith.

"Recall the early days of the First Continental Congress in Philadelphia, during the fall of 1774. With Boston occupied by British troops, there were rumors of imminent hostilities and fears of an impending war. In this time of peril, someone suggested that they pray. But there were objections. 'They were too divided in religious sentiments', what with Episcopalians and Quakers, Anabaptists and Congregationalists, Presbyterians and Catholics.

"Then Sam Adams rose, and said he would hear a prayer from anyone of piety and good character, as long as they were a patriot.

"And so together they prayed, and together they fought, and together, by the grace of God ... they founded this great nation.

"In that spirit, let us give thanks to the divine 'author of liberty.' And together, let us pray that this land may always be blessed, 'with freedom's holy light.'

"God bless the United States of America."

A Realistic and Serious Look at Each of The Republican Presidential Candidates.

Here is a breakdown on the serious GOP possible candidates for 2012. This election is by far the most important election in our lifetime. I am going to only focus on candidates who have stirred enough public interest to be a serious contender. Sorry no John Huntsman, Rand Paul, John Bolton, Paul Ryan or even Bobby Jindal as I have seen little national interest in them throwing their hat in the ring. The list begins with the weakest or least serious candidates and ends with the strongest and most serious.

I will spend some time with candidates who I personally do not see as serious contenders but either because of their impressive credentials or because of National interest they deserve recognition and have indicated their intentions of at least considering a national Presidential run. I will be rating them from zero to 5 on the basis of their chances of winning the Republican nomination and defeating Obama and also on VP possibilities and valuable contribution potential as serving on a Presidential cabinet.

Gary Johnson:

He is a former New Mexico governor and a very popular one at that. He was well known for his use of the veto. He is a fiscal conservative and like Ron Paul is for small government. Like Ron Paul he is of the Libertarian mindset and was for school vouchers. He is somewhat of an isolationist and anti war. He considers himself pro choice, but has voted many times in a pro life manner. He is a strong leader and believes in the constitution as it was originally written. He is for marijuana decriminalization and he supported Ron Paul for President in 2008.

He is a very successful businessman and a self made man. I really like him, but he has no chance of beating Obama. He has almost zero name recognition even among the tea party and I see his chances of becoming President as very remote. I give him ½ point for chances of winning the GOP nomination, 1/2 point for chances of defeating Obama and 1 ½ points for V.P. potential and 4 points for Presidential cabinet abilities or consideration.

Chris Christie:

The New Jersey Governor knows how to generate publicity and I believe his motivation is to gain as much national publicity as he can generate using the Governorship as his platform. If you go to YouTube you will see that his staff has posted his finest moments there. This has made him very popular with the Tea Party movement but what they fail to see is that Chris Christie is far from a conservative. He is for gun control, he believes in global warming, and he is very soft on illegal immigration. He also may have some political and business dealings that may come back to haunt him, if he were to throw his hat in the ring as President. I do not feel any need to go into these as he has not given any indication that he has any interest in running for President. He has stated that he is not ready. He also seems to be in favor of Obamacare and seems to be for any big government programs if it means federal funds to his state. New Jersey is not one of the states that has come out in favor of repealing Obamacare. Translated Chris Christie may not be anywhere near as conservative as he is perceived.

While he enjoys considerable popularity among the less informed of the American voters, if he were to get into the GOP presidential mix, I do believe the voters would quickly get to know the real Chris Christie. Since he is not running the points will be based on that, therefore I give him 0 points for chances of winning the GOP nomination, 0 points for defeating Obama, 3 points for V.P. potential, and 3 points for cabinet abilities or considerations.

Donald Trump:

This guy is very liberal and his campaign contributions of far leftist like Charles Schumer, Anthony Weiner, Rahm Emanuel and Nancy Pelosi. causes me real concern, and I am hoping the majority of American’s will eventually see right through this guy. Yes he is a very successful businessman, but he may have had some shady dealing along the way, and has proven that Donald Trump has one interest and concern, and that is Donald Trump.

He has always been for abortion, but now is coming out saying he is pro life. I for one will take him at his word on that. Yet there are many conservatives who are willing to put all of the liberal issues aside and jump right in on the Trump bandwagon. I find real hypocrisy in this as they are some of the first to call Mitt Romney a flip flopper because he had a real life sincere change on abortion, much like Ronald Reagan, and these same people hold him to a higher standard than anyone else on every issue. For example if he wasn't totally perfect on every thing he ever done in his life they can not vote for him. Then like many did with Obama, and are now doing with Trump dismissing all of these troubling issues and concerns and moving full steam ahead in their support.

Trump is not a serious candidate and he is not going to win. My concern is that he will end up running as a third party candidate and could seriously split the GOP vote and cause Obama to win reelection. He receives 0 points for winning the GOP nomination, 0 for chances defeating Obama, 3 points for V.P. potential and 4 points as cabinet abilities and consideration.

Newt Gingrich:

I do not see much hope in a successful Newt Gingrich Presidential run. He is considered a conservative by many but he is actually quite moderate if you go by tea party standards. Newt Gingrich believes in Global warming he is for ethanol production, and the program to add it to fuel. He is very much an internationalist and was a major force as Speaker of the House in getting such disastrous free trade treaties passed such as NAFTA and GATT.

. He does have name recognition and is a good fundraiser, but he will need a lot of resources to make a successful run against Obama. I just do not see where he will have the broad base of support that it would take to defeat Obama. He is too much of a typical politician to win with the higher raised bar of the tea party and the conservative base in general. He also has a troubled past with a messy divorce, and this would come out front and center if he were to win the GOP nomination. He cannot be completely ruled out because he is very much a Washington insider and popular with the GOP establishment. 2 points for winning GOP nomination, 1 points for defeating Obama, 3 points for V.P considerations, and 5 points for cabinet abilities and consideration.

Ron Paul:

A Texas Congressman who ran in 2008 has a very energetic, hard core, but very small base of some of the most vocal supporters of all of the candidates. They really know how to make their small numbers get the biggest impact possible.There is a lot that I like about Ron Paul like his idea to abolish the IRS and the Federal Reserve are awesome. He is all about small government and reigning in government spending and getting us out of foreign entanglements. The problem with Ron Paul is that his libertarian and isolationist policies are just too far out there to gain the amount of support he would need to defeat Obama. He would make an excellent treasury secretary as he would be a real watchdog in this capacity. He receives 0 points for winning the GOP nomination, 0 points for defeating Obama, 1 point for V.P considerations and he deserves 10 points for cabinet abilities and considerations. Hence the reason he is this far up on my list.

Herman Cain:

I really like this guy he is a hard hitting black conservative and is very critical of the Obama administration. He is a very strong business leader having been the President of Godfathers Pizza. Cain played a big role in defeating Hillarycare, which was President Clinton’s attempt at a Nationalized Healthcare initiative. He is a real tea party favorite but does not have enough resources, name recognition or organization in place to make a serious run for the Presidency. That is really unfortunate, but I believe, he would be among the GOP nominees best choices they could make for a V.P. He would also make an excellent addition to the cabinet.1 point for chances of winning the GOP nomination, 2 points for chances of defeating Obama, 5 points for V.P. consideration and 5 points for cabinet abilities and considerations.

Mike Huckabee:

He is my least favorite candidate of the entire field but because of how he has rated in the National polls I do have to give him his due. First Mike Huckabee should do the country a favor and not even run. He has proven that he has a very thin skin with his recent tirade against Glenn Beck who called his policies progressive. He went off on Glenn Beck using socialist Media Matters anti-Glenn Beck talking points. Huckabee is a RINO through and through, he showed very poor judgement while as Governor of Arkansas he pardoned many criminals and some of them went on to commit some horrendous crimes. He is soft on immigration and showed real lack of class in how long he stayed in the GOP primary in 2008. He showed even less class in how he teamed up with McCain in undermining Mitt Romney’s campaign. He does not have the resources, the organization and his negatives are getting high. He has been doing well in many national polls however, as right now he is favored in the Iowa primary. 3 points for chances of winning the GOP nomination, 4 points for chances of defeating Obama, 0 points for V.P. choice and 0 points for cabinet abilities and considerations.

Mitch Daniels:

I would have to place Mitt Daniels as a higher, and one of the more serious candidates on the list of GOP hopefuls. He is a popular Indiana Governor and former Reagan administration Budget director where he was known as Mitch the knife for his willingness to cut waste out of the budget. He has come out in favor of VAT taxes and that is not going to win him a lot of support from the Tea Party on that particular issue. He is also a proponent and cheerleader for increasing ethanol production and raising the amount blended into gasoline from 10% to 15%. That said we could do a lot worse than Mitch Daniels and there is a lot about him to like. He is one of the establishments more favored candidates so Mitch scores a 3 for chances of winning the GOP nomination, and a 3 for chances of defeating Obama, a solid 3 1/2 as a V.P. choice and a 4 for cabinet abilities and considerations.

Tim Pawlenty:

I like Tim Pawlenty as he is a both a fiscal and social conservative. He has been a tough advocate for immigration enforcement, gun rights and is pro life. The Minnesota governor does have some moderate positions that many conservatives would find troubling. He does believe in some big government programs like light rail and does tends to favor programs that one who believes in Global warming would support. He has come out in favor of drilling in ANWR, and believes the bigger oil supply we have the better. He has also come out in favor of government funded incentives like developing wind energy sources and regulations on carbon emissions. He is also for universal healthcare.

That said his strengths lie in the fact that he is one of the favorites of the GOP establishment, and his policies could gain wide support in a general election, and would get a lot of the moderate GOP vote as well as conservatives with his stances on drilling and being pro life. He lacks name recognition, a national organization and resources, but would be endorsed by much of the GOP leadership and media personalities. I give him a 4 for chances of winning the GOP nomination, and a 3 for chances of defeating Obama, and a 4 as a V.P. choice, and a 3 for cabinet abilities and considerations.

Rick Santorum:

The former Pennsylvania Senator is a rock solid conservative and has been a strong advocate for protection our borders, 2^nd amendment rights, and pro-life. He has also been a strong advocate for protecting our national borders, and for opening up more areas for drilling. He would make an excellent V.P. choice for the Republican nominee. If his campaign is able to get off the ground, and he is able to get his message out he does have an outside chance of winning the nomination. His weakness is that he does not have a national campaign organization in place and having lost his last Senate race this would make a good sound byte as a reason he is not electable on the national level. He would get a 3 on chances for winning the GOP nomination, a 3 for chances of defeating Obama, and a 5 as a V.P. choice and a 5 for cabinet abilities and considerations.

Sarah Palin:

John McCain's 2008 choice for V.P. and running mate and former Alaskan Governor needs no introduction. She has been rock solid on her support for tea party candidates. She has really stood strong against absolutely brutal media scrutiny. If Obama would have received even 1/100^th of the vetting that has been aimed at Gov. Palin there is no way possible he could have been elected. She is a tough fighter and would clean Obama’s clock in any debates. She does have a lot of media induced negatives however, and unfortunately as things stand right now that could be enough to keep her from being elected. While the majority of her critics are the far left, she has also received more than her far share of criticism from the Republicans as well. Sarah is rock solid on conservative values and is in total alignment with the vast majority of the tea party. As far as winning the Republican nomination I see her chances as rather remote, so she gets a 3. On defeating Obama if she were to get the GOP nomination a 4. While she would be very strong in the debates there are just too many negatives for her to overcome. For V.P. choice she would be excellent but a bit unlikely so she will get a 3 ½ here. As far as her cabinet abilities and possible considerations she would get a (20) if it went that high so 5 on a scale of 1 to 5. Any candidate would be making a huge mistake not to offer her a prominent position in their cabinet.

Michele Bachmann:

The Minnesota congresswoman is one of the most recognizable names in the tea party movement, only Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck have greater stature with this movement than Michele Bachmann. Actually she is considered a more viable candidate with the majority of conservatives over Sarah Palin, and that is why she comes out ahead in my ratings. Michele Bachmann like Sarah Palin campaigned and fought to get many tea party and conservative candidates victories in the Nov. 2010 midterm elections. Michele is very conservative and believes in small government, is strong on 2^nd amendment rights, and is pro life. She has a lot going for her but faces a very uphill battle in gaining higher name recognition, and getting her message out beyond the negative sound bytes the left leaning media loves to throw out there about tea party candidates. Michele Bachmann like Sarah Palin would be very formable in debates with Obama, but getting her the nomination is where the problem lies with Michele Bachmann. As far as winning the GOP nomination I give her chances of about a 3 on the 1 to 5 scale. For defeating Obama after getting the nomination about a 4. As far as being a VP choice she would be an excellent one and would give her a 4 ½ and as far as a cabinet position she would be another one who should be seriously considered she gets a 5.

Mitt Romney:

Mitt Romney is the candidate that everyone really needs to get behind to defeat Obama. There is too much at stake for the GOP to not get united early behind the candidate that has the very best chance of winning the Presidency in 2012. It is too late in the game for anyone else to really emerge and have what Mitt brings to the table not to. Now if Allen West does get into the race that would be another story, but at this point he has no intentions. Mitt Romney is the real deal. He worked hard and supported both with campaigning and resources many great tea party and conservative candidates. He was instrumental in many GOP, conservative, and Tea Party favorites winning their races in the 2010 midterm.

Mitt Romney is one of the best, most ethical businessmen in the country. I do not think anyone understands the economy like Mitt Romney does. He also may be the most qualified presidential candidate in well over 150 years. He understands America’s problems and he will jump right in, roll up his sleeves and get busy doing just that right from day one. You will not see Mitt Romney taking many vacations as President, there are too many problems to fix and he is going to be there, "Johnny on the spot", when it comes to that dreaded 2 am call, you can bet your bottom dollar (if you still have one) on that.

Look back over the time since the 2008 presidential race as to how Mitt Romney has conducted himself. He has been nothing but a class act from his motivations of bowing out of the 2008 race to the way he immediately set aside all of his differences with the ungracious McCain campaign, and got right to work in doing all that he could to get McCain elected, because he saw the disaster that a Barack Obama Presidency would be. Mitt Romney is the real deal and as far as his chances of winning the GOP nomination I give him a 5. If you do not like or admire Mitt Romney you have been too heavily influenced by the negatives that have been thrown at him. If you believe he is anything but a constitutional loving conservative, whose first and only desire is to bring Amerca back to the greatest nation on earth, and do whatever it takes to accomplish it, you obviously have not read his book “No Apology”, which by the way 100% of the proceeds goes to charity. He is the only one who shows in polls that he can beat Obama so he gets a 5 on his chances for beating Obama. As far as a VP choice if anyone else wins he would be an easy and clear choice, so on the 1 to 5 he gets a 5, and with his abilities for a cabinet choice again a 5.

Allen West:

Topping my list even though he has no intentions of running is Florida congressman Allen West. Allen has really made a name for himself quickly. He is very popular with the tea party movement and has all of the right conservative credentials to quickly move up to the top in the GOP Presidential primary. Allen West has been very popular because of his no nonsense non politically correct way of saying things. He is a very severe critic of Barack Obama and his policies. He will tell you in a heartbeat that Barack Obama’s policies are ruining this country and running our economy into the abyss. He being a retired Army Lt.Col. He understands the importance of a strong military and unlike our President that radical Islam is our enemy, and he will call terrorism what it is. He like Mitt Romney believes strongly in our constitution. I would be more than delighted to have either of them as the GOP nominee. Allen would get a 5 for his ability to get the GOP nomination, a 5 for V.P. choice and if he doesn’t run, he should be the first choice of whoever does win the nomination, and of course a 5 for a cabinet position.

This is a very important election and we do not get another chance. If Barack Obama is reelected we might as well kiss our nation, as we know it good bye, and prepare for its total ruin. I really believe that Mitt Romney is our very best choice, and chance at this late hour to win our country back. He has the resources, the organization and the best start at gaining wider name recognition of any of the serious GOP contenders. If you look at the history of our national elections you will see that the GOP has never had a nominee win an election who came out of nowhere without a high degree of name recognition. The liberal media is not there for them to build their name and reputation, only there to tear them down. It happens almost always for the Democrats, but never for a Republican nominee. Look at the last three Democrats each came into the race without any name recognition and each won the Presidency on their first attempt. That being Carter, Clinton and Obama. Name the last Republican who done that? There hasn't been one.

A GOP Front Runner Is Emerging, We Have Our Candidate The Media Just Isn't Reporting It.

As I analyze the latest polls being put out by the major polling organizations one thing comes to mind the media is being strangely silent about just how bad the president is doing in job approval ratings and how the American people feel about the direction of the country under his direction. Furthermore they are really over hyping and big time inflating Donald Trump’s impact as it relates to the 2012 GOP race.

A further study of the poll numbers does show that Mitt Romney may be beginning to emerge as the GOP frontrunner. Some polls have him winning against Obama in Nationwide races, others have him only slightly behind and almost all of them have him within the margin of error. There are other polls that show him well out in front in key Republican Primaries including virtually all of the Florida Primary polls and also all of the New Hampshire primary polls and that just isn’t getting the coverage that it should be.

First we will start with polls that focused on Obama’s job approval and is the country headed in the right direction or wrong direction?, as each of these are a direct reflection on Obama’s leadership. In the latest Rasmussen poll Obama’s Job approval is 48% approve while a majority 51% of Americans disapprove. According to Gallup those that approve is even worse at only 44%.

Now when we switch poll questions and focus on Direction of The Country it is even looking bleaker for the President. A CBS poll which seems to always slant their results to favor the president 70% of respondents said the country is heading in the wrong direction, only 26% approved of the direction Obama is leading us. According to Ramussen it will not be a shocker to see that the results are even worse news for Obama where only 22% of Americans feel he is leading us in the right direction. A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll shows similar results with 25% of Americans feel like Obama is leading us in the right direction while 69% see us headed in the wrong direction. Even a Democratic poll shows very troubling news for the President. According to Democracy Corps 44% of Americans approve of the job Obama is doing and 50% disapprove and 26% feel the country is headed in the right direction and 65% feel we are headed in the wrong direction. They further go on and show the results that in a National General Election Mitt Romney would defeat Obama. Mitt Romney is leading in their poll 48% To 46%.

In other recent polls Mitt Romney is also leading all GOP contenders. According to the McClatchy poll for the 2012 GOP Presidential Nomination Romney leads with 18% Huckabee 17% Trump 13% Palin 8% and Ron Paul received 7%, Gingrich 4%, Bachmann 3%, Pawlenty 2% Daniels 2%, Santorum 2%.

As reported by the Washington Examiner one of the latest polls from the Rockefeller Center of Dartmouth University indicates former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney comfortably ahead of Obama in New Hampshire. The poll shows that if he was the Republican nominee that as of right now he would defeat Barack Obama by 8 points 47 percent to 39 percent, in a projected general election match-up.. All of the other Republican candidates would lose including Huckabee by 8 points, Pawlenty by 16 Haley Barbour by 19 and Donald Trump would get killed by 22 points. The poll also showed that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin would lose by 27 points

I hear a lot about Romneycare and the negatives that will bring to Mitt and I will delve into that later in this article, but here is a letter I received from Mitt leading up to last Novembers election in which he worked very hard to get many conservative and tea party candidates elected in their States and districts.

My purpose for sharing this is that he is not at all happy with Obamacare and furthermore Mitt Romney primarily helps and supports conservative and tea party candidates and not liberals like Donald Trump has done with the likes of Charles Shumer and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

Conclusions, I think if we want to insure that Barack Obama is defeated in 2012 it would be wise for the tea party, conservatives, moderates and the entire GOP party to get behind Mitt Romney and to ditch Donald Trump and Mike Huckabee and with an early front runner status and early backing Mitt Romney could emerge with a commanding victory over the worst president and biggest catastrophe to ever befall the American people.

Why do I think Mitt Romney would be the best candidate for President to run against Obama in 2012? First I think he would absolutely clean Obama's clock in the debates they would have. Gov. Romney is a Washington outsider and that is why he got skewered by the lamestream media when he ran for president. Mitt Romney is actually very conservative no less than Ronald Reagan, he graduated from BYU one of if not the most conservative Universities in the United States, and is one of the most if not the most competent leaders in the United States.

That is a great advantage for him in the general election as many perceive him as moderate and a RINO, and if you really take a close look at his record, read his book "No Apologies", and understand what he really stands for he is among the most conservative of candidates to ever have a shot at winning the White House. He could pull a lot of moderate, independent, conservative Democrats and even liberal votes away from Obama. Furthermore if he were to choose a conservative African American like Allen West or Herman Cain he could possibly receive a higher percentage of African American votes than traditionally go to a GOP candidate.

For the mess that Obama has made out of our country Mitt Romney would be by far the best person on Earth that I know of to do the most to fix the problems of our country if that is even possible Mitt would do it as that is what he does and always has been about is fixing problems.

Some of the problems Mitt has proven beyond amazing to accomplish, like taking command of the Salt Lake Winter Olympics that were headed for disaster for a one (1) dollar salary and turning them around to becoming the most successful Winter Olympics in history. Romney literally saved those 2002 Olympics from economic doom and under his tremendous leadership turned them from deep in the red into the black.

What about RomneyCare? RomneyCare, signed into law by Romney in 2006, is a state-based healthcare plan, unlike ObamaCare, RomneyCare did not raise taxes and the people overwhelmingly wanted it. If the Democratic run state would have left it the way Romney had it there would not be all the problems that have happened with it. But the bigger and more important difference is that RomneyCare was a state program and not a federal one. If states’ rights and federalism are truly important to you, you would readily recognize this distinction. And on top of all this, Romney has consistently voiced his support for the repeal of ObamaCare, this the same Romney that saved Mass. from demise caused by the Democrats? Not once but twice? The ones that fattened up said health care bill.

Romney saved dozens of companies from closing down and thereby saving thousands of jobs? As a highly successful leader in business, he made money by turning around financially struggling companies like Monsanto, Staples, Office Depot, Dominos Pizza, Burlington, Corning, among many others, saving thousands of jobs.

Later he ran a venture capital firm which provided money to numerous startup companies such as Staples Office Supplies, enabling them to expand and create thousands of more jobs. During the 14 years he headed the company, Bain Capital, it's average Annual rate of return on investments was 113 percent.

On one occasion one of his associates’ daughter came up missing in New York City and was feared kidnapped. Mitt stressed to his partners that the reason they were in business was for the welfare of their families and thereby shut down the company and organized a search party and they headed for New York. He diligently and quickly divided up the search party and sent them out searching sector by sector with detailed instructions as to how to proceed and the daughter was quickly found. If I recall correctly she was just being a rebellious teenager and had went off and was hanging out with some friends having a good time not realizing what panic and grief she was causing her parents.

At the age of 19 Mitt put his Stanford education on hold and went on a 2 1/2 year mission for the Mormon Church and was sent to France. He lived a life of poverty while there and had to make due on less than $100 allowance a month staying in small apartments with several other missionaries. Many of these apartments he stayed at did not have private bathrooms, but one bathroom for all the residence on the floor. As a missionary he lived a very disciplined and rigorous life, waking up at 6am and after extended Scripture study and prayers left for they day, knocking on doors from 9am to 9pm everyday for the entire 2 1/2 years sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was there during the 1960s when Americans were very unpopular because of the Vietnam War with the French. Often a Frenchmen would answer the doors and say “you’re from America, get out of Vietnam” and slam the door. This was the beginning of his transformation from a privileged lighthearted, carefree youth, to a responsible serious adult during those 2 1/2 years.

He was called to be an Assistant to the Mission President the highest leadership position a missionary can achieve. Once while he was driving traveling across the vast mission territory with the mission president and the mission president’s wife and his companion the other assistant they were involved in a tragic automobile accident where a drunk driver crossed into their lane resulting in a head on collision. Mitt was mistakenly pronounced dead, the mission president’s wife was killed and the mission president was badly injured. Mitt's injuries were less serious than the others and he recovered quickly and had to take charge of the entire mission for six months while the mission president was back in the U.S. recovering from his injuries.

He really took charge and fired up the entire mission and carried out all the duties of the mission president doing a remarkable job amidst the entire country breaking out with violent student riots and being an American not the safest climate. Baptisms actually increased under his young leadership.

Soon after his mission he married his wife Ann and transferred to Brigham Young University where she was attending. He ended up graduating #1 in his class and went on to Harvard Business School where he graduated in the top 5% of his class and cum laude from Harvard Law School. He became a father of 5 boys during his college and early business years.

As the 70th Governor of MA, he worked to turn around the state’s economy from a 3 billion dollar deficit to a surplus, balancing their budget in less than 4 yrs. And he never accepted a salary while in office.

What is wrong with America not wanting the best possible leader we have available? It’s the economy, stupid! and proven leadership. Mitt Romney is one of the greatest leaders this country has, after what the American people have experienced with Obama I do believe that given a chance to be known Mitt Romney will quickly emerge and be recognized for the great leader that he is.

Romney also showed great character when he did not press charges and remained calm when a drugged-out rapper tried to start a fight with him on an airplane ready to take off, the same rapper now calls him his homeboy.

Tea Party Needs To Wake Up!

Conservatives who consider themselves as part of the tea party movement need to wake up and take a cold hard look at reality when looking for a candidate who can defeat Barack Obama in the upcoming 2012 election, specifically they need to seriously consider Mitt Romney.

First I would like to make a very bold and realistic statement as to our chances of defeating Barack Obama in 2012: Our only hope of defeating Barack Obama is Mitt Romney. It is high time that Conservatives, Republicans, Independence, and the tea party come to their senses and realize this. Do not get me wrong many among these groups already do, but there are far too many in these groups that think the right candidate is still to emerge, they are sorely mistaken. Following are six well thought out reasons why I not only feel but know that I am right about this.

1) To defeat an incumbent President takes tremendous name recognition, political organization, resources, and someone who can appeal to a vast range of voters across all areas of the political spectrum. Who among the Presidential candidates has the resources, name recognition, organization already in place, and can win a substantial number of votes across all wings of the political makeup of this nation. Mitt Romney has a proven track record of already doing this in winning the Governorship in Massachusetts where Democrats far outnumber Republicans. Name one other candidate who has all of these factors already in place?

2) History is a very sound indicator of future results, look back over history and you will find that history and the media have been very unkind to first time Republican candidates who are not well ingrained in the Washington insider establishment. Not true with Democrats: Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama all came out of nowhere to win the Presidency because of the power the so called mainstream media has at pushing them and gaining them the necessary name recognition that it takes to win the presidency. Name one Republican who came out of nowhere and won? You cannot because it just is not going to happen. Even Abe Lincoln the first Republican was fairly well known from the Lincoln/Douglas debates and with the issues of the day received a lot of free press coverage. Mitt Romney who has already ran once like Ronald Regan has the organization, the hindsight and the name recognition to launch a successful Presidential campaign this time around. Who else does? Be very honest and consider carefully negativity, baggage and who outside the tea party knows much of anything about this candidate.

3) If you think the tea party is so widespread and composed of such high numbers try this experience. First what is the most conservative state in the union? The answer is Utah. Now go to the Salt Lake Tribune and find an appropriate article and go in and make a comment positive about Glenn Beck and against Barack Obama or comment positive about Sarah Palin, any tea party candidate and watch the backlash that you are going to receive. Better yet start saying nice things about your tea party favorite candidate. You need not be shocked because I am warning you, but you will soon discover how right I am. You would think that a State like Utah would be overwhelming on board with the tea party, yes there are many and probably the most per capita but from my experiments around the country I have found that while the tea party as a group is very committed and can accomplish huge gatherings they make up no more than 20% of the population. Hardly enough to get their favorite elected President, where voter turnout is always higher than in midterms.

4) Mitt Romney has a proven track record. He has been a Governor, he has been a very successful businessman and he has proven over and over that he can get things done and solve problems. He demonstrated his total problem solving ability and competence many times including taking over at the helm of the Salt Lake Winter Olympics that were headed for disaster and financial bankruptcy, he agreed to do it for a $1.00 salary and no more unless they turned a profit. They became among the most successful and profitable Winter Olympics ever. You have to be a genius just to be in management at Bain Capital, Mitt was the CEO.

5)You have to look and be presidential. If you have ever been in the room with Mitt Romney it will become very clear who is in charge in the room, and how presidential he is. I have been and he is definitely the #1 Alpha Male in the room and his charisma, personality, intelligence, communication skills and demeanor all are very apparent and highly noticeable. There is a certain very positive aura that surrounds this man and you really need to attend one of his rallies or events to really appreciate what I am saying.

I really feel that Mitt Romney is our best chance for winning beating President Barack Obama and there are a lot of excellent choices for a Vice President. I feel that the team player that Mitt Romney is he will also build a very strong team of cabinet members and some will undoubtedly come from the candidates who will be running against him. We really can and must defeat Barack Obama and if we place the job in Mitt Romney's hands and give him our full support I guarantee we will prevail.

A further study of the poll numbers does show that Mitt Romney is beginning to emerge as the GOP frontrunner. Some polls have him winning against Obama in Nationwide races, others have him only slightly behind and almost all of them have him within the margin of error. There are other polls that show him way out in front in key Republican Primaries including all of the Florida Primary polls and also all of the New Hampshire primary polls and that just isn’t getting the coverage that it should be.

First we will start with polls that focused on Obama’s job approval and is the country headed in the right direction or wrong direction as each of these are a direct reflection on Obama’s leadership. In the latest Rasmussen poll Obama’s Job approval is 48% approve while a majority 51% of Americans disapprove. According to Gallup those that approve is even worse at only 44%.

Even a Democratic poll shows very troubling news for the President. According to Democracy Corps 44% of Americans approve of the job Obama is doing and 50% disapprove and 26% feel the country is headed in the right direction and 65% feel we are headed in the wrong direction. They further go on and show the results that in a National General Election Mitt Romney would defeat Obama. Mitt Romney is leading in their poll 48% To 46%.

In a General Election against Obama according to McClatchy/Marist Mitt Romney did the best and is within their margin of error as they show that Obama 46% and Mitt Romney currently would receive 45%. Huckabee was the next closest in their poll showing Obama at 48% and Huckabee at 43%. Trump got creamed in their poll showing Obama at 54% and Trump at 38%.

As did Sarah Palin who in a head to head matchup with Obama would get 56% and Palin 34%, ouch! In another GOP Presidential Nomination poll conducted by NBC/WSJ it shows Mitt Romney leading that poll at 21% and Trump and Huckabee tied at 17% followed by Gingrich at 11% and Palin at 10%.

Another poll for the Florida GOP primary shows Mitt Romney with a commanding 19% lead over his nearest rivals Gingrich and Huckabee. The results are Romney 33%, Trump 8%, Gingrich 9% Huckabee 14% and Palin 8% and Ron Paul 2%.

The same Florida Poll by Mason Dixon Shows Romney at 23% Huckabee at 18, Gingrich at 9, Trump 8 and Palin 8, and Paul 2%. Two additional polls conducted by PPP (D) for the New Hampshire Republican Presidential Primary one without Trump and one that went back and included Donald Trump both show Mitt Romney with a commanding lead.

In the first by PPP (D) Romney 31, Huckabee 15, Palin 10, Gingrich 13, Paul 10, Pawlenty 4, Barbour 2 and the 2^nd poll that did include Donald Trump showed Romney 27, Trump 21, Huckabee 12, Gingrich 12, Paul 9, Palin 7, Pawlenty 4.

Conclusions, I think if we want to insure that Barack Obama is defeated in 2012 it would be wise for the tea party, conservatives, moderates and the entire GOP party to get behind Mitt Romney and to ditch Donald Trump and Mike Huckabee and with an early front runner status and early backing Mitt Romney could emerge with a commanding victory over the worst president and biggest catastrophe to ever befall the American people.

When Barack Obama became President gas prices were at $1.87 a gallon now with them over $4.00 a gallon in some states the Liberals are deafly silent and in many cases the mainstream media is actually trying to spin it that high gas prices are a good thing. That certainly was not the case when gas prices went up over $3.00 a gallon under George Bush. You had all kinds of Liberal Senators and Congressman and Senator Obama out in the forefront blaming it all on him. Now Barack Obama thinks it is funny and puts the blame on the size vehicles we are driving. Hey my car does not get the kind of gas mileage I can afford with gas prices nearing $4.00 a gallon in our state, but in this economy I cannot afford to go out and buy a vehicle that will get the kind of gas mileage I would love to be getting.

The truth of the matter is that Barack Obama has done a lot to cause the gas prices to be as high as they are. First and foremost he has a drilling moratorium on drilling in our country that even though a judge said that he could not do that he chose to ignore the judge and keep the moratorium in place. Next he has placed policies that are very unfriendly to our dollar and has purposely done everything he could to drive the buying power of the dollar down and in the meantime OPEC has raised the price of oil. Yes Obama is doing everything he can to make those rich oil Muslims much much richer. Who is his allegiance to? Well we all witnessed him bowing to the Saudi prince when he visited Saudi Arabia. Enough on this for now as the treason and treachery of this President, the worst and most destructive to our country in our Nation's history, makes me so upset just talking about it I can only do it in small increments.

As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama is our President and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, our prices would have to increase by about 10%. But since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the economy, we will have to lay off sixty of our employees instead. This has really been bothering me since I believe we are family here and I didn’t know how to choose who would have to go.

Mitt Romney: Rein in government — starting with Obama

There's some good news and some bad news as we mark the unhappy occasion of the April 18 tax filing deadline. Let's start with the good news.

For the first time in the post-World War II era, there is a significant popular movement to scale back government and reduce the tax burden that has been stifling our economy. A lot of this is because members of the Tea Party are making their voices heard.

Almost 21/2 centuries after the original Boston Tea Party of 1773, the idea of limited government that inspired our forebears is very much alive. The growth of government is not some inexorable force. In a democracy, we the people decide. Thanks to the Tea Party, there's real hope that we can rein in our profligate federal government.

But in order to make progress, we have to first rein in President Obama, whose spending binge is driving our national debt to historic highs. When Obama took office in 2009, the national debt was about 50 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Over the past two years, our national debt has risen to about 70 percent of the GDP and is expected to be 100 percent of the GDP by 2020.

The Obama administration's $800 billion stimulus packageis one-half of the unfolding disaster. The other half is Obamacare, which will cost more than a trillion dollars unless it can be repealed — something the next president must make a priority on Day 1 in office.

These staggering new burdens are made worse by the fact that our system of taxation is killing our nation's once-strong economic engine. The mind-boggling complexity of our tax system is only part of the problem. As of last year, the U.S. tax code had mushroomed into 71,684 pages that no one human being can fully understand. Along with complexity comes a dizzying array of perverse incentives.

For example, we tax companies that make money overseas if they want to bring the money home, but we don't tax them if they keep it abroad. The result is that as much as a trillion dollars in private capital is parked offshore. With proper incentives, that money would be infused into our economy and invested in new equipment and factories. Repatriating a trillion dollars could create lots of good, permanent, private-sector jobs.

Then there are the disincentives that flow from the high rates themselves, for entrepreneurs, small business owners and other job-creators. American employers bear the highest tax burden in the world, tied with Japan and above even European countries like Italy and France. But instead of making ourselves more competitive by reducing rates across the board, we've created myriad loopholes that are confusing to everyone except the lawyers, accountants and lobbyists who make a living off them.

We have also built a paralyzing uncertainty into our system. In December, Congress and President Obama agreed to temporarily extend the Bush tax cuts. But under the terms of the congressional compromise with the White House, high rates will come back into force in two years unless Congress acts again. Every entrepreneur, every small business owner and every employer knows that the clock is ticking. This uncertainty translates directly into caution about investing and taking on additional workers.

A smart tax system would reward investment, savings and entrepreneurship, while providing job-creators with the predictability and stability they need to grow our economy. But our tax system is not smart; it's quite the opposite. It needs urgent reform that reduces rates and restores a climate of confidence in our economy. With millions of Americans seeking but not finding work, a transformation of our approach to taxes is both an economic and moral imperative.

But reform requires both understanding and leadership. Unfortunately, when it comes to those qualities, we are facing Washington's biggest deficit of all.

The Boston Globe, which has never been very friendly to Mitt Romney wrote something nice about Gov. Romney. Specifically, a recent editorial placed MassCare in context:

After an Urban Institute study recommended an individual mandate, Romney made that the core of his plan. That was a way of sidestepping the approach many Democrats favored: a payroll tax of 5 to 7 percent on businesses that did not offer health coverage. That idea, the subject of a planned ballot question, became the preferred approach of then-House speaker Sal DiMasi. Businesses worried, and with good reason, about the costs such a plan would impose.
DiMasi, however, remained adamant about putting much of the responsibility on business, something both Romney and then-Senate president Robert Travaglini opposed. At one point, DiMasi talked of forcing firms to pay $800 to $1,000 per uncovered employee.
The compromise that finally broke the long stalemate was based on an individual mandate, but called for companies without coverage to pay $295 per worker per year. That was essentially the Romney plan, but with enough of a business contribution to let DiMasi save face. In a move that angered DiMasi, Romney signed the bill, but vetoed the business levy. The Legislature overrode his veto, reimposing the fee.
All in all, then, the role Romney played was of a governor sensitive to business concerns and worried about the state’s business climate. Now, conservatives have come to view that individual mandate as an intolerable imposition on personal liberty, rather than an insistence on personal responsibility. In no small part that’s because such a mandate also plays a central role in Obama’s health care plan. But if they weren’t hyperventilating about the national law, they might come to recognize that the role Romney played on the state level was skillful, creative, and business-friendly.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany , South Korea , the Middle East, and the Philippines . They don't want us there.
We would station troops at our borders.
No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence.

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days, the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are. They're illegal!!!
France will welcome them.

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days, unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in.. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

5) No foreign 'students' over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a 'D' and it's back home baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness.
The caribou will have to cope for a while

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not 'interfere.' They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school.. That way, no one can call us 'Ugly Americans' any longer.

I for one do not know how viable of a candidate she can become as she does have high negatives as the liberal media has really went out of their way to assassinate her character and paint her as an ignorant country bumpkin. Unfortunately much of the bad publicity has stuck, but at the same time Sarah Palin does have a certain base that really love her and believe in her but many do seriously wonder if she can become president.

I for one am not so sure she is presidential material but one thing I do believe is that you never underestimate Sarah Palin or take her lightly because she is a very ambitious and energetic person and few have the ability to draw a crowd or move people the way that Sarah can. As one who considers myself a part of the tea party, I have found her to be a very patriotic lady. She has demonstrated through word and deed that she really loves this country and is concerned about it's future. She has really gained a lot of respect from a large portion of the nation as a person of principle, good character and a real fighter.

She is one of those rare magnetic personalities that when it comes to your opinion of her chances of becoming President there are basically two camps among people who are her admirers and respect her.

The first group that I think the majority of the people fall into that she would have a chance of winning over are of this opinion. I really like Sarah Palin and have a lot of respect for her. I feel she has been a very important voice and fighter in the conservative and tea party movement and the treatment that she has gotten from the media is despicable. I however do not feel that I want her to run for president because her negatives are too high to overcome and it would be much better for our cause for her to remain an important voice in our conservative cause but do not want her running for president. If however after all is said and done and if she were to run and win the GOP nomination I could get behind her 100% but if anything would rather have her be a strong GOP candidate's VP. This is the camp that I find myself in.

The 2nd group is composed of a much smaller yet very determined group who believe very much in Sarah Palin and may believe that the tea party compromises a much larger percentage of the population than it really does or just out of principle really like her and she will get their vote. Many in this group also believe that they would be happy with her either at the top of the ticket or a s a VP just so she is on the ticket. I think a lot of these people could also get behind another candidate with a different VP but they really like Sarah Palin and have her as their first choice.

There isn't much in between when it comes to this fiesty and very interesting person. She has been both demonized and praised to such extremes that everyone has pretty much formed an opinion of her and what her chances are for winning the presidency. This could work both for and against her if she does decide to run for president. I for one will say if you do not take Sarah seriously you are not a very wise person. Do not let her attractive petite bubbly personality fool you, when you see Sarah you are looking at a real fighter pretty much a very attractive yet vicious pit bull wearing lipstick and a very warm smile.

Of course it goes without saying the other side the socialists and liberals absolutely hate her and cannot stand her and that is why she has received so much media scrutiny is because they are very liberal and basically just want her to go away.

If you really want to see The President get angry here are just a few of the questions a good reporter could start off with. If the President was pissed with that reporter these questions should really ruin his day.

Sir, why not cut through the chase and release your long form birth certificate? If there is nothing to hide why did you spend $2 million dollars to cover up your past? Why all the secrecy with your college records?

With the price of oil so high why haven’t you lifted the drilling moratoriums you put in place? Why are you defying a court order and not allowing drilling when the economy is in such dire straits? Shouldn’t your administration be really pro active when it comes to drilling and expanding shale oil production and expanding the use of natural gas and coal as a means of fuel for automobiles? Wouldn’t a great short term solution be to offer incentives to get car makers to expand production of vehicles that run on natural gas and scrap the production of the Chevy Volt of which sales have been terrible and is going to be a disaster? Are you purposely trying to destroy the economy to spread the wealth around and institute socialism? Are you wanting to do away with our Nations sovereignty and create chaos using labor unrest to stir up the working class and get them out in the streets? Are you absolutely delighted with what Governor Walker and the Republicans are doing in Wisconsin to try to get their state‘s economy back in order and balance their state’s budget? Is your legal name Barry Soetoro or Barack Obama and if your long form birth certificate were released which name would be on it? Is Donald Trump correct that if anyone else other than you would have made the same real estate deal with Tony Rezko, who has since been convicted on 16 of 24 charges of wire and mail fraud, money laundering and aiding and abetting bribery, that they would be in jail? Is your choice of business associates such as convicted felon Tony Rezko and pentagon bomber and terrorist Bill Ayers who authored your first book “Dreams of My Father” a true reflection of the integrity of Barack Obama?

PHOENIX - Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has vetoed two controversial bills passed by both the Arizona Senate and House -- the guns on campus bill and the 'birther' bill.

Guns on Campus Bill: SB 1467

- Would've allowed guns to be carried on public rights of way at public university and community college campuses
- Applies only to rights of way -- not inside classrooms
- University presidents opposed the bill

"This bill was very sloppily written and drafted, and I believe when it affects not only our education system, all the way from K-12 all the way through the university, and we can't even find out a definition, what is a right of way? It just wasn't defined to be able to tell the courts or the policeman how they are going to enforce a law like that," Governor Brewer told us.

'Birther' Bill: HB 2177

- Would've required President Barack Obama and other presidential candidates to prove they are U.S. citizens before their names can appear on the state's ballot
- Arizona would've become the first state to require such proof
- 13 other states have considered similar proposals this year. The proposals were defeated in Arkansas, Connecticut, Maine and Montana

As for her decision to veto this bill, Gov. Brewer said in part: "I never imagined being presented with a bill that could require candidates for President of the greatest and most powerful nation on earth to submit their 'early baptismal or circumcision certificates'… this is a bridge too far. This measure creates significant new problems while failing to do anything constructive for Arizona."

Hawaii officials have certified Obama was born in that state, but so-called 'birthers' have demanded more proof.

In 2010, U.S. Reps. Cliff Stearns, Sandy Adams and Dennis Ross — all Republicans, all from Florida — signed a pledge to the Americans for Legal Immigration Political Action Committee to use “impeachment if necessary” to force President Obama to secure the nation’s borders. At least one is sticking by that pledge. #

The 2011 Budget compromise was a very bad deal for the American people. The compromise passed both the House and The Senate In the House it passed by a vote of 260-167. In the Senate the vote was 81-19 and it was signed into law by President Obama on Friday.

I have included a list of the House members and the Senators who voted the right way on this fiasco. I sure hope your congressman voted the right way as my congressman Dennis Ross of Florida, and my Senator Marco Rubio. The $38 billion in budget cuts that was being touted by Republicans will end up being like $352 million this fiscal year, less than 1 percent of the bill’s advertised amount, according to the Congressional Budget Office."

According to a Congressional Budget Office estimate, the deal that the Republicans supposedly fought so hard to get every dollar they could, saves only $352 million from non-war accounts this year. This new figure is a real disappointment and leaves the tea party wondering why did Boehner and company roll over and give the Democrats what amounts to a win? They should have stood their ground and shut the Government down if necessary. What to hell ever happened to the original $61 billion in cuts they had originally sought?

House Speaker John Boehner and company are insisting the $38 billion in cuts was the best deal they could get being up against the White House and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. The 38 billion deal after everything is considered is in reality more like $352 million in real cuts and what really sucks is after all of the new Defense spending is added in the deal is going to really amount to over $8 billion in additional spending. I bet they would rather you not know this dirty little secret.

So there you have it Ladies and Gentleman The $38 Billion in reality is $352 million which in reality is an additional $8 Billion in additional spending, wow did we get sold out big time or am I just being one of those constituents that can never be made happy?

Well lets remember who voted for this BS and come 2012 replace their rollover butts with some fresh promising Tea party candidates and eventually we might actually have a strong conservative group in both chambers to where we can make some real cuts and with leaders that are committed to stand strong and fight for the people who sent them to Washington and in negotiations are not afraid to stand firm on principle and shut the Government down if necessary. We need to start playing hardball with those Democrat Socialists.

Tea Party Needs To Wake Up!

Conservatives who consider themselves as part of the tea party movement need to wake up and take a cold hard look at reality when looking for a candidate who can defeat Barack Obama in the upcoming 2012 election.

First I would like to make a very bold and realistic statement as to our chances of defeating Barack Obama in 2012: Our only hope of defeating Barack Obama is Mitt Romney. It is high time that Conservatives,Republicans, independence, and the tea party come to their senses and realize this. Do not get me wrong many among these groups already do, but there are far too many in these groups that think the right candidate is still to emerge, they are sorely mistaken. Following are six well thought out reasons why I not only feel but know that I am right about this.

1) To defeat an incumbent President takes tremendous name recognition, political organization, resources, and someone who can appeal to a vast range of voters across all areas of the political spectrum. Who among the Presidential candidates has the resources, name recognition, organization already in place, and can win a substantial number of votes across all wings of the political makeup of this nation. Mitt Romney has a proven track record of already doing this in winning the Governorship in Massachusetts where Democrats far outnumber Republicans. Name one other candidate who has all of these factors already in place?

2)History is a very sound indicator of future results, look back over history and you will find that history and the media have been very unkind to first time Republican candidates who are not well ingrained in the Washington insider establishment. Not true with Democrats: Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama all came out of nowhere to win the Presidency because of the power the so called mainstream media has at pushing them and gaining them the necessary name recognition that it takes to win the presidency. Name one Republican who came out of nowhere and won? You cannot because it just is not going to happen. Even Abe Lincoln the first Republican was fairly well known from the Lincoln/Douglas debates and with the issues of the day received a lot of free press coverage. Mitt Romney who has already ran once like Ronald Regan has the organization, the hindsight and the name recognition to launch a successful Presidential campaign this time around. Who else does? Be very honest and consider carefully negativity, baggage and who outside the tea party knows much of anything about this candidate.

3) If you think the tea party is so widespread and composed of such high numbers try this experience. First what is the most conservative state in the union? The answer is Utah. Now go to the Salt Lake Tribune and find an appropriate article and go in and make a comment positive about Glenn Beck and against Barack Obama or comment positive about Sarah Palin, any tea party candidate and watch the backlash that you are going to receive. Better yet start saying nice things about your tea party favorite candidate. You need not be shocked because I am warning you, but you will soon discover how right I am. You would think that a State like Utah would be overwhelming on board with the tea party, yes there are many and probably the most per capita but from my experiments around the country I have found that while the tea party as a group is very committed and can accomplish huge gatherings they make up no more than 20% of the population. Hardly enough to get their favorite elected President, where voter turnout is always higher than in midterms.

4) Mitt Romney has a proven track record. He has been a Governor, he has been a very successful businessman and he has proven over and over that he can get things done and solve problems. He demonstrated his total problem solving ability and competence many times including taking over at the helm of the Salt Lake Winter Olympics that were headed for disaster and financial bankruptcy, he agreed to do it for a $1.00 salary and no more unless they turned a profit. They became among the most successful and profitable Winter Olympics ever. You have to be a genius just to be in management at Bain Capital, Mitt was the CEO.

5)You have to look and be presidential. If you have ever been in the room with Mitt Romney it will become very clear who is in charge in the room, and how presidential he is. I have been and he is definitely the #1 Alpha Male in the room and his charisma, personality, intelligence, communication skills and demeanor all are very apparent and highly noticeable. There is a certain very positive aura that surrounds this man and you really need to attend one of his rallies or events to really appreciate what I am saying.

1. I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies’ profits of
4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same
gallon of gas at 15% isn’t.

2. I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a
better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

3. I voted Democrat because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as
nobody is offended by it.

4. I voted Democrat because I’m way too irresponsible to own a

rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who
would never get their agendas past the voters.

10. I voted Democrat because I think that it’s better to pay
billions to people who hate us for their oil, but not drill our own
because it might upset some endangered beetle or gopher.

11. I voted Democrat because while we live in the greatest, most
wonderful country in the world, I was promised “HOPE AND CHANGE”.

12. I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my
ass, it‘s unlikely that I’ll ever have another point of view.

Mitt Romney our best chance in 2012.

Why do I think Mitt Romney would be the best candidate for President to run against Obama in 2012? First I think he would absolutely clean Obama's clock in all the debates they would have. Gov. Romney is a Washington outsider and that is why he got skewered by the lamestream media when he ran for president. Mitt Romney is actually very conservative no less than Ronald Reagan, he graduated from BYU one of if not the most conservative Universities in the United States, and is one of the most if not the most competent leaders in the United States.

For the mess that Obama has made out of our country Mitt Romney would be by far the best person on Earth that I know of who could do the most to fix the problems of our country if that is even possible Mitt would do it as that is what he does and always has been about is fixing problems.

Some of the things Mitt has proven beyond amazing to accomplish, like taking command of the Salt Lake Winter Olympics that were headed for disaster for a one (1) dollar salary and turning them around to becoming the most successful Winter Olympics in history. Romney literally saved those 2002 Olympics from economic doom and under his tremendous leadership turned it from deep in the red into the black.

What about RomneyCare? RomneyCare, signed into law by Romney in 2006, is a state-based healthcare plan , unlike ObamaCare, RomneyCare did not raise taxes and the people overwhelmingly wanted it. If the Democratic run state would have left it the way Romney had it there would not be all the problems that have happened with it. But the bigger and more important difference is that RomneyCare was a state program and not a federal one. If states’ rights and federalism are truly important to you, you would readily recognize this distinction. And on top of all this, Romney has consistently voiced his support for the repeal of ObamaCare, this the same Romney that saved Mass. from demise caused by the Democrats? Not once but twice? The ones that fattened up said health care bill.

Romney saved dozens of companies from closing down & thereby saving thousands of jobs? As a highly successful leader in business, he made money by turning around financially struggling companies like Monsanto, Staples, Office Depot, Dominos Pizza, Burlington, Corning, among many others, saving thousands of jobs.

Later he ran a venture capital firm which provided money to numerous startup companies such as Staples Office Supplies, enabling them to expand and create thousands of more jobs. During the 14 years he headed the company, Bain Capital’s average Annual rate of return on investments was 113 percent. One time one of his employees’ daughter came up missing in New York City and was feared kidnapped. Mitt said to his partners the reason we are in business is for the welfare of our families and shut down the company and organized a search party and they headed for New York. He diligently and quickly divided up the search party and sent them out searching sector by sector with detailed instructions as to how to proceed and the daughter was found. If I recall correctly she was just being a rebellious teenager and had went off and was hanging out with some friends having a good time not realizing what panic and grief she was causing her parents.

At the age of 19 Mitt put his Stanford education on hold and went on a 2 1/2 year mission for the Mormon Church and was sent to France. He lived a life of poverty while there and had to make due on less than $100 allowance a month staying in small apartments with several other missionaries. Many of these apartments he stayed at did not have private bathrooms but one bathroom for all the residence on the floor. As a missionary the lived a very disciplined and rigorous life, waking up at 6am and after extended Scripture study and prayers left for they day, knocking on doors from 9am to 9pm everyday for the entire 2 1/2 years sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was there during the 1960s when Americans were very unpopular because of the Vietnam War with the French. Often a Frenchmen would answer the doors and say “you’re from America, get out of Vietnam” and slam the door. He really grew up from a privileged lighthearted carefree youth to a very responsible serious adult during those 2 1/2 years. He was called to be an Assistant to the Mission President the highest leadership position a missionary can go. Once when driving a car carrying the other assistant, the mission president and the mission president’s wife they were involved in an automobile accident where a drunk driver crossed into their lane and collided head on. Mitt was mistakenly pronounced dead, the mission presidents wife was killed and the mission president was injured. Mitt recovered quickly and had to take charge of the entire mission for six months while the mission president was back in the U.S. recovering from his injuries. He really took charge and fired up the entire mission and carried out all the duties of the mission president doing a remarkable job amist the entire country breaking out with violent student riots and being an American not the safest climate.

Soon after his mission he married his wife Ann and transferred to BYU where she was attending. He ended up graduating #1 in his class and went on to Harvard Business School where he graduated in the top 5% of his class and cum laude from Harvard Law School. He became a father of 5 boys during his college and early business years.

As the 70th Governor of MA, he worked to turn around the state’s economy from a 3 billion dollar deficit to a surplus, balancing their budget in less than 4 yrs. And never accepted a salary while in office.

What is wrong with America not wanting the best possible leader we have available? It’s the economy, stupid! Mitt Romney is one of the greatest leaders this country has, after what you have experienced with Obama you should easily recognize this.

Romney also showed great character when he did not press charges and remained calm when a drugged-out rapper tried to start a fight with him on an airplane ready to take off .. the same rapper now calls him his homeboy.

Republicans Should Embrace the Fair Tax,

I was listening to Mike Huckabee the other day on Fox News and he made the statement that the Republicans should push for the Fair Tax. I never really thought much of Mike Huckabee as a Political Candidate, but his Fair Tax idea is one area that I agree strongly with him.

He basically believes that if the fair tax were to become law that this would be all of the stimulus that the American economy would need. I agree 100% with him on this issue. Could you imagine how many companies and industries would be rushing to come back to our shores if they no longer had to worry about paying taxes and dealing with the IRS? I do not think there are many other issues that could drum up the kind of enthusiasm that this would especially with all of the anger out their of the Democrat majority and the Obama administration.

This issue along with the repeal of the Obama, Pelosi, Reid Healthcare bill and a pledge to balance the budget, push harder to make the U.S. independent of Foreign oil and secure our borders and deal with Iran with an iron fist would be the greatest issues to really begin pushing and pledging to achieve if they are given the majority back. Then if and when they get the majority keep their word to the best of their ability.

In summary I cannot think of anything that would do more to bring high paying jobs back to American, dramatically reduce unemployment and do more to stimulate and fix our economy than the fair tax. This time Huckabee is really on the mark.

President Obama's healthcare bill is unhealthy for America. Without a single Republican vote in the House or the Senate, he pushed through a bill that millions of Americans do not want, and for which we cannot conceivably pay.

Health care reform shouldn't mean higher taxes, cuts to our seniors on Medicare, insurance price controls or greater federal involvement in our lives. But unfortunately that's just what we're getting.

America has been taken down the wrong path by President Obama and the Democrats in Congress, which is why it's critical we elect fiscally-responsible conservative leaders in November who will repeal this bill and restore commonsense principles to healthcare.

That is why I am writing to you today to announce a new initiative at my Free and Strong America PAC called "Prescription for Repeal." Over the coming weeks and months, my PAC will be providing GOP candidates with the support and funding they need to defeat Democrats who supported ObamaCare.

We will overturn this Obama Health Care Bill. It will not stand.

I do not think this Obama health care bill is going to be able to stand against the wrath and will of the American people. Here is how it will come about. There is going to be such a widespread sweep come November that their are going to be very few left in Congress who voted for that health care bill or have a D after their name that those left standing are going to be so shell shocked and job scared that they will not dare to stand against the Majority who will be pushing to get it overturned. It will be so unpopular to try to defend it that to do so would be certain Political suicide. So there you have it if you want to overturn this Socialist fiasco there needs to be such a political earthquake in November that it leaves the survivors with no uncertainty to the will of the American people and I guarantee the overturning of this horrific legislation will be a very popular idea on the floor of the House of Representatives. We need to do the same Political destruction to those up for election in the Senate also and I do believe they will finally realize the vast majority of The American people are mad as hell and are not going to take it anymore.

The Anger is not going away until Obama is out of office.

I am tired already of the political pundits who keep saying that the anger that people are feeling towards Congress, the President and the leftist agenda isn't going to last until the November elections. I totally disagree, the elections are only 8 months away and with Obama as President, and Pelosi as Speaker and Reid as Senate Majority Leader that might as well be tomorrow.
I do recall on huge tea party rally at various places all over the country on the 4th of July. Hello that was 8 months ago and if anything the anger is getting much more widespread and much more intense. It is not going away.

Health Care Bill Is Unconstitutional

For the first time in the history of America we are going to have a Federal Law mandating everyone to purchase something. Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves. Yes because of the passage of this terrible bill every person is required to purchase and have "acceptable health insurance" or they will face huge fines. What is worse is the Internal Revenue Service, (IRS) is going to have new powers to enforce this mandate upon the citizens. They now will have the authority and it will be their duty to check up on each citizen on a monthly basis to make sure that every living American has Federally acceptable health insurance.

Congress as almost always is exempt from these mandates they still have the elite highest quality Health Insurance possible and have totally isolated their families and themselves, so basically freedom died for everyone except for Congress and their families. If this is good enough for us and they are doing us such a service and they know more than us how good it is for us than I say they should be subject to the same insurance and same mandates as everyone else.

It is a time for action, we must make sure that we do not let them off the hook for this arrogance. They rammed this legislation through with back room deal making, shutting the opposition out at every turn and totally turning a deaf ear toward their constituents who overwhelmingly were opposed to this bill.

Come this November we must go to the polls and vote all of these scoundrels out of office. This radical reform is but the beginning of putting Federal Government in firm control of all areas of our lives. Lets be sure and vote these "b...." ah bums out of office and then we should turn around and push the new Congress to bring up treason charges and do intensive investigations into the laws that have been broken, dirty deals, and the flagrant violations of constitution that have been done to force this legislation into existence. Then it will be time to impeach this present disgraceful administration.

Lets never forget this and in November let their be a political earthquake like has never been seen in the history of the World.

Glenn Beck Most Powerful Man In America

I have come to the conclusion that Glenn Beck is now the most powerful man in America. He is a real Goliath slayer. Just in the past few weeks Glenn Beck has been very instrumental in doing what all of the Republicans in Congress were not able to do. Here are some examples:

Glenn Beck brought much needed attention to Van Jones who was President Obama's Green Czar. Glenn Beck on both his morning radio program and his 5pm Fox News Show relentlessly pursued Obama's appointee, and uncovered just how radical this admitted communist truly was. He done this by asking serious questions about this man, that the fringe media (ABC,NBC,CBS, New York Times, CNBC, etc)totally ignored or purposely covered up. He exposed this extreme radical using video and in context statements of Van Jones in his own words. He also directed questions directly to the Obama administration about how they could have someone closely advising the President who is an admitted communist and believes that President George Bush was involved in the terrorist attacks on 9/11. This resulted in Van Jones low keyed resignation late on the Sunday evening before Labor Day.

He also exposed Acorn relentlessly over a period of several months clearly pointing out how closely they were linked to the Obama administration. He did segment after segment about the deep roots and the many branches of this corrupt organization and laid the ground work so that when these series of videos came out this past couple of weeks showing Acorn officials more than being helpful in assisting a pimp and a prostitute to cheat the Government in securing housing for their illegal underage prostitution operation, it was the straw that broke the camel's back.

The pimp and the prostitute were really undercover conservative reporters who were just out to see for themselves how corrupt Acorn really was and how much information they could obtain through their simple plan. Kudos to Glenn Beck for giving them much needed exposure and a forum to bring widespread attention to the corruption that they did uncover through their series of video tapes. This resulted in the Senate voting to strip Acorn of housing funds by a vote of 83 to 7. on Sept. 15, and the house voted yesterday 385 to 75 to strip Acorn of all Government funding.

Glenn Beck also brought much scrutiny to the many other Czars that The Obama administration has appointed and how unprecedented this is as to the number and scope of their authority, as well as bringing attention to the fact that most of these received no Senate over site in their appointments. This has now led to current pending legislation in Congress that is calling for these Czars to come before the Senate so that the American people can learn more about their character, and the extent of their authority. We truly have a right to know who these people are and who they associate with.

Glenn Beck also exposed a hidden disclaimer that was on the Government website used to process customer information pertaining to the cash for clunkers program. The disclaimer in essence stated that by entering the website the individual's computer became the property of the Federal Government and the individual would be waiving all of their rights to the Federal Government. After Glenn Beck exposed this on his radio and television programs the disclaimer suddenly disappeared from the Government website.

He was also very instrumental in exposing the Obama administration's attempt to get citizens to turn in their friends and neighbors, blogs and anyone who was saying anything "fishy" about Obama's health care proposals. The administration ceased this operation as well.

Glenn Beck also started the 9/12 project that resulted in tea parties all over the country including Washington D.C. with crowd estimates between 75,000 to as much as 1.7 million. These protests were all but ignored by the fringe media, but you can be sure that the lawmakers on Capitol Hill and the Obama administration were more than aware of the very large and diversity of the protesters.

Glenn Beck is doing more as a private citizen than he ever could accomplish as a member of Congress, as a U.S. Senator or even if he became President. Glenn Beck is the real deal. I must add that much thanks must also go to the entire Fox News network including Bill O'Reily and Sean Hannity who through their own efforts added much creditability to the work that Glenn Beck done. Much thanks to Rush Limbaugh as well whose power and influence can never be understated. The bottom line is We will take our country back and we as a people owe all of these conservative commentators a great deal of thanks.
